Big plans were made for Reformation Day this year. Friends were invited and much food was prepared.
We dressed for the affair in our finest...
Each course was announced with trumpets and music (with the help of Lydia's castle), just as I'd read might happen.
The menu was decided after some research was done. There was bread and butter, raisins, almonds, Shepherd's Pie, noodles with cheese (mac & cheese), baked apples, petit fours, peacock eyes, and two kinds of punch (one warm and one cold & slushy).
Baked apples, made red and tasty with the addition of red hot candies.
And, peacock eyes, which are really sugar cookies with raspberry jam in the middle.
